I'm trying to raise money for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, and I need some ideas about how to do it. What would you do?

  1. Depending on your  goal any of these might help.

    -Raffle

    -Auction

    -Dinner Fundraiser

    -Candy Sales

    -Discount or Peeler Card Sales

    -Sports event (Golf tounament.....)

Hit up lcoal businesses ask for donations of cash, services or products. Get local radio and tv stations involved they love public service announcements. I do alot of fundraising here in NM and I use them all. Sometimes you can combine them in one event.

  2. have a festival or something like with a cake walk and blow up bouncy thing, and other little events. advertise it around town and stuff and then make a 5 dollar covercharge for adults and kids get in free!

  3. Candy bar sales during a basketball game

Offer to make a meal for a family for a set amount, minus what the products cost, and the remaining moneys get donated to the cancer society.

Bake sales that include cookies, bars, cakes, pies, etc...

Beat the Buck- Ask local business owners to put a can in their store for the cancer society and explain the details. Which are:Whatever company gets the most money collected gets a trophy and an

award to put or hung up in their store, for bragging rights.

    I wish you good luck!

  4. Put together a simple cookbooks and sell them.

I did this before and sold over 100 and the books were 20 bucks a piece about 50 recipes. A real deal.

You can tailor the book to be recipes donated from cancer survivors or recipes that fight free radicals. etc...
