Fundraising Tips, Ideas?

Question

We have an environmental club in our school, and we want to buy recycling bins so our school can have a cleaner environment. The problem is, we have a low budget. Does anybody know what we can do for a fund raiser?

we just did that at our school... i think someone donated the bins - they dont coast much

you could do a 50/50

raffle off a basket filled with stuff (movie basket or school sprit basket, anything really)

the kids in my school love when there are bake sales - just ask members to bring in something and you can sell them at lunch or after school

in the spring time when its hotter, freeze pops are a big hit

Try to incorporate some sort of service that's environmentally friendly and sell that service.  If you're in high school, you could do some sort of low-water use car wash (I have no idea how to do that- just throwing it out there).  You could sell desserts that require no baking (thus no energy use) and store them in reusable containers rather than plastic wrap or tin foil.  You could even use all organic ingredients or something.  

Or you could just find a way to make pranking the teachers part of the deal.  The grade level or department (ie English or SS department) with the most money raised gets to throw pies at the teachers or something.
