Question:

Funky flat temps in pre-O chart q?

Hey all,

So for the past 4 days now my temps have been flat at 96.6. I've taken my temp in the evening to see if maybe my thermometer has a low battery or something, and it gives me different readings at night, so I know that the thermometer is ok.

I'm on AF right now :( and only on CD6. I've never had so many flat temps in a row pre-ovulation. I normally only get two in a row and then a change. What do you think? Does this rep a hormone problem or what?

Thanks for any input!

  1. Our monthly cycles can be so weird sometimes!  LOL.  I always have very low temps. during AF but I know others who often get high temps.  What you are describing could just be an anomaly this month.  I don't think it is cause for worry at this point.  Remember, you are looking for an overall pattern when you view your temps. so a few low ones in a row  during AF are not likely to affect your overall cycle.  Having said that, keep an eye on your temps. over the next few days and see what happens.  Judging by what you've described, your temps. should return to a more normal state once AF is over.  I've experienced cycles that have been higher than "normal" as well as lower than "normal" which leads me to think that there truly is no "normal" at all.  If your temps. stay low after several months of charting, you should talk with your doctor.  In the meantime, watch for spikes around ovulation and hope and pray that this is your month.  Baby dust.  Hope this helped.
