Funny Lari expected to win Bedford Road Dash
Funny Lari is expected to prevail in the Bedford Road Dash at Henlow in England on Thursday, May 31, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
Speed will play an important part in determining the winner of the race, as the overall distance to cover is just 277 metres. The action is scheduled to start at 19:45 GMT and following entries have been confirmed: High Noon, Funny Lari, Lughill Poppy, Ardmayle
Duke, Ferndale Scolari and Dual Control.
Compared to all runners, Funny Lari has got very good speed which will help him make a solid impact in the race. His performances in recent times have been pretty much consistent, thus the punters will be encouraged to risk a few bets on him today.
The S. Cahill’s trainee took part in a trial run recently and managed to set an impressive time in it. However, the pressure of performing in a Grade OR event is absolutely different, so he will have to be at his best.
The black dog has produced some very good results over the past few events and is carrying a decent momentum at the moment. He finished runner up in his past three appearances in this class, which shows that he has the skills to fight at the front.
In his most recent outing, Funny Lari gave a tough time to the winner, but had to settle for second place in the end. He started brilliantly, but just fell short by a neck distance in the end.
However, the seasoned hound has the ability to turn things around today. He is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Sky Beauty and was born in October 2009.
On the other hand, the bookmakers have more confidence in the skills of High Noon, who is also a decent runner and has been delivering some positive results over the past few months.
The P. Dolby’s trainee is carrying a very good momentum at the moment, as he finished on top of the table in his previous race. His speed is brilliant, thus he is all set to give a tough time to Funny Lari in the race.
