Look at Jezareerobs' answer. Mariners have better pitching with Bedard? That's funny stuff. People actually thought Mariners would take the division! Sure they won last night, but there was some bad umpiring in that game. First, K-Rod would've had the first guy struck out if the ump wasn't blind, then the line drive that Vlad caught and threw to 2nd, that should've been a DP. I think the Mariners paid the umps, because they're in last place, suckiest team in the league, yet they go out and beat the best team with questionable calls. What do you think?

  1. think about it this way maybe the mariners are out of playoff contention but they still want to win and learn how to become a winning ball team but lets just say i believe that even a team that's having such a bad year as the mariners deserves a break and if you believe in such a thing they are due for at least a little win streak and keep in mind I am a die hard Yankees fan but i do have respect for the Mariners and what they are trying to do considering the first place Rays in their history have had much worse seasons than the mariners

  2. Aww man I miss my buddy Padres in 08 (guess he got a ashamed of the Padres' inability to score some runs)

I was also surprised by the Mariners this year. And the Angels should take the rest of the series.

  3. I disagree with Jezareerobs commnet that the Mariners have better pitching with Bedard.  King Felix and Bedard are the only reliable arms in that starting rotation.  Angels starters are much better and before i speak anymore to let you know i am an A's fan.

But, i highly doubt the MAriners would pay off the umpires considering that they are outta playoff contention so whats the point.  And at this point in time, wouldnt they wanan actually lose more games, so they can receive a high draft pick?

Hey bad calls happen all the time.  It mite have happened to the Angels last nite, but we live through it.  nothing we can do about it.

  4. Yes, it's funny that people thought the Mariners were going to make the playoffs. I'm a Mariners fan and this season hurts...a lot.

Anyway, the Angels blew it last night, the umps were a non-factor. Occasionally a weaker team will beat a better team. The M's did well against Boston a couple of weeks back, too, so don't feel like the Angels were singled out. And don't worry, I'm sure the Angels will still win the series - they are undoubtedly a better team than the Mariners.

And that question was six months ago....let it go, dude. I'm sure you've been wrong some time in your life too. Like when you said the M's paid the umps.

  5. No, it was a long time ago so they didn't know how bad the Mariners would be, but it is funny he said the Mariners, Tigers Yankees and Indians were Play Off contenders,

  6. Wow, you must really have it in for the guy to look back at a question that was asked 6 months ago in an attempt to make him look stupid. Is the question just about the game last night, or is it just that you feel somehow pointing out someone misjudging something is somehow less intelligent then you? I'd be a lot more inclined to believe you were an expert if you had actually answered the question yourself, or had answered any questions in the baseball section at the beginning of the season. It's a h**l of a lot harder to say who will and won't be in the playoffs in March then it is in August. And I really doubt that many "experts" would have predicted the Mariners being this bad, or the Tigers or the Yankees having bad seasons, and I doubt even you would have said that the Rays would be winning the Al East right about now.

As for last night - it's one game. get over it.
