Funny joke....i hope?

Question

i herd this at a wedding and can only remember so much

ok so there is 3 police men going for an interview

first man walks in and the chief says your file looks file and you have the job if you can answer one question

who killed (cant remember name not important)

and the man told him the answer

the chief said you start in such a place on monday

the second guy did the same

and got the question right

but when the third man went in he couldnt think of the answer

so the chief told him to so into the room next door and have a think

so he went into the room which only had a table and chair and sat down

he hered the other two men outside the windowand went over to ask what did they answer

so they told him the answer

then they asked what he was doing

he said oh im on a big murder case

if anyone has the right dialogue

pleas post it up
