Funworld Boy expected to win The Sir Chris Hoy Sprint Div 1
Straight from his excellent Coventry stint, the C. Price trained blue and white dog, Funworld Boy, is going to make a big impact in his second outing at Perry Barr on Friday night, July 27. This is The Sir Chris Hoy Sprint Div 1 over 275 meters, set to start at 20:56 (GMT).
Pursuing the prize cheque worth £200, the three-year-old veteran hound will compete against five worthy rivals after breaking from the white box.
The talented son of Droopys Vieri out of Marlfield Lucy marvellously bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs in OR format at Coventry earlier this month.
First, he won the 1st July Dash and then finished first in the Brandon Dash – Div A. He was not the favourite runner for both these races.
The dashing dog moved ahead to finish as a runner-up in his last outing on July 15. Prior to these three outstanding performances, the experienced sprinter had registered two consecutive triumphs for two times in March and April. He also won a big race each in May and June.
These impressive stats suggest that Funworld Boy owns a lot of talent and fighting spirit that will help him thrive convincingly in the coming contest. His chances to finish first are as high as 95 percent.
However, he will have to face a lot resistance from Demesne Oggy who is awash with confidence following his classic conquest in a T2 race of July 20. He won that race by the big margin of 4 ¾ lengths.
Before this, the G. Hodson trained brindle dog bagged two consecutive runner-up positions during the same month. The son of Swords Prince out of Demesne Chaz elegantly grabbed a 9-length clean victory at Perry Barr on June 29.
As a whole, the novice runner has made many glaring marks since the very outset of his professional career. However, he has not run in any OR event so far.
In the light of this analysis, it is expected that Demesne Oggy and Funworld Boy will fight neck-to-neck for the victory; however, the latter is more likely to carry the day. Good luck to both the hounds.
