Furreal friends electronic cat has a broken neck how can I fix it?

My sons aunt gave him this toy cat that she recieved for free and it works but the head and neck are not connected on the inside like they should be so the head just lays limp. I dont want to brak it more but I cant find any info on how to access the inside of the toy.

Is there anyone who has done this or is there a site that maybe has diy electronics repair help? my kid loves this thing but he looks very concerned that the cats head doesnt move (hes 2 and a half)

I started a search to see if I could see the toy. They're sold at Toys R Us for about $ 20. The new kitten is $13. Maybe you can get him another one and introduce it to him gradually. In a week or two the one with the broken neck might run away ?

At least I would get a new one before I tried to fix the one he has, in case it gets worse.
