The problem occurred about 3 weeks ago while playing Jewel Quest 2 , the graphics on the screen suddenly went crazy with all different colours flashing accross the screen violently , then nothing I shut the thing down and it would not boot up properly , I tried the recovery disk and they failed to work they got to approx 90% re-load then went for a reboot and only came up with a blank screen . Tried stating in safe mode and it got to a screen that said set- up did not complete ,run set up aggain . I have done this several times but with no success . I ended up using my own XPpro with service pack 2 disk and managed to get the system up and running , but now have appox 10 lines running up and down the screen . On boot up it was starting with these strange lines then going to red lines up and down the page then when booted still left with all lines up and down the page , also display not the quality it was . Re tried the Media Centre recovery disk last nigth and managed to get to 96 % but still got the blank screen after it went for a re-start .. Also tried Toshiba site and loaded the drivers individually stating with the chipset drivers first . Its a nice machine but useless how it is at the moment . And as I said before I am getting the right royal run around from Toshiba . Toshiba Aust told me I would have to send it back to America as it a US model , but when I rang the US tech support they did want to know about it .. Hope you can help ..
