So far haven't worked everything out. Posted Q re discs this morning. Excellent answer (one so far), but nothing typed about ?hard drive recording.

Idiot proof language please! Can recordings, made on the hard drive (if poss) be erased, recorded over?

  1. Yes. The hard drive is infinitely re-recordable (effectively).

  2. Yep,once you have watched it on hard drive, delete it at your leisure so as to make more room for new recordings you want to down load and watch.

  3. Anything you record on the hard drive disc can be edited or erased as and when you wish.

If you wish to keep permanent copies of something you have recorded, you can 'dub' from the hard drive to a DVD-R / DVD+R disc.

  4. yes you just delete the recording off your hard drive and the space is free to re- record on or you can just put it in the recycle bin for a while just in case you need it in the near future.

you can get dvd rw discs which are re-recordable but they usually only play on either your pc or the dvd recorder you have recorded them on unless you finalize them which means you cant record on them again and then they should play on other dvd players.

  5. YUP SAME AS A VIDEO RECORDER  BUT EASIER AND YOU CAN RECORD WHILST WATCHING A RECORDING U MADE EARLIER
