  1. If you don't care let them die.  Trust me if you baby them they will overpopulate ur tank, let most of them die because you will have control.  It's like evolution through the means of natural selection.  Also the filter keeps your other fish from dying from ammonia poisoning

  2. Much depends on the type of filter you're using, the ideal filter for fry is a junior box filter powered by a small air pump. The tights idea sound s a good one as does no filter just daily water changes, but you would still need some aeration, so you might aswell use a box filter.

I certainly get the impression these are going to be 14 well looked after fish :0)

  3. Get some aquarium foam and tie it with fishing line or similar around the filter intake.  This will keep your babies from getting sucked up :)

  4. mine didnt, they all stayed around the pebbles at the bottom of the tank

  5. You don't need filter for your baby guppies, they life fine in my tank without a filter, just add some live plants and that's it.

ask about it on this useful forum

  6. i have brillaint solution for this, cut up a pair of tights and put them round the filter, thats what i have done in my fry tank as this prevents the fry getting caught in the filter as the mesh in tights is so fine, but still allows the water to flow through
