I have just been reading through workshop manual and in the electrical spec sheets it states that the battery for this engine is of 60ah rating.I changed the battery just "before" the misfire occured,i fitted a 110ah battery so that i could leave the gps system on whilst driffting and fishing withought the engine running.Could i have caused damage to something by putting the bigger battery on? its still on it now.

  1. battery should be o.k i would re cheque the wiring and any vacuum pipes that may be off.

  2. I used to have a Volvo Penta 28hp engine in my narrowboat,,with one 110ah battery for the engine and a separate one for the domestics,,,Other than that I can`t enlighten you any more,,,

  3. Hi bud, i wouldnt have thought you would have done any damage but you would have been better off putting two batterys on one for the engine and other for lights ect. personaly i would not use this site for the problem youve got try here.
