The $10million Jim Furyk trousered for winning the FedEx Cup was always going to be difficult to top. But arguably, Furyk claimed an even more personally rewarding award yesterday when he was named PGA Tour Player of the Year.
Claiming the accolade for the first time in a career that's spanned 16 years since his first win on the PGA Tour, the 40-year-old admitted: "It's a special moment, and a special year."
