i have a 0 guage wire from battery with a 150a fuse(came with the wire) the 0 guage goes to my trunk to a distributer block which is going to power a kenwood amp 900 rms and a smaller amp for inner speakers... the kenwood has (2) 30a fuses and the small amp has (1) 30 a fuse. ok so the distribution block needs (2) mini anl fuses and (2) regular size fuses... what size fuses should i use for the block? i was thinking (2) 15 a mini anl and (2) 40 a regular size anl fuses for the block . will that be ok ? or what fuses should i use,

  1. Umm why do you have 0 gauge for 900rms I have 2000rms and have 1 gauge,Do u have fuse up at the battery if not get 1 there, get a 150amp fuse up there,so if that blows its stops all the others blowing, most people just get that one fuse done.

  2. First thing first when dealing with fuses the MAX wattage is more important than RMS because u need to know the MAXIMUM that your gonna pull through that 0 gauge wire. .... volts x amps = watts. so if u have a 1200 watt MAX amp, on a 12 volt system (cars are 12.6v-14.4v) you can expect a maximum of 100 amps to be drawn. Most of the time you wont be maxing out ur amp though. Personally i go with a fuse thats rated about 80% of the maximum draw expected so as not to overheat the amplifier (i'd rather blow a fuse than an amp that's the point i think xD)

  3. I think that those will be sufficient fuses. For the most part if your amps are fused right then those should not even be necessary. Especially with that 0 gauge wire, its pretty much overkill. However if you are planning to upgrade in the future it is a great choice.

Those fuses sound like they should do the job.
