Fuse size?

What would be the best size fuse for 0 gauge wire being split into two amps, one using 2 40 amp fuses and the other using 2 30 amp fuses? That totalling 140 amps, would it be better to use a 150 amp fuse that I already have installed or would it be safer to get a 125 amp fuse? Just incase it matters it is 0 gauge wire and ANL fuses

  1. If you went with the 125, you probably would be fine.  I doubt you'll ever pull that much current sense your alternator is probably factory and only capable of putting out 70 amps or so.  So there's really no need to worry.  Get which ever you want.

  2. the 150 is just fine and is safe

  3. go with the 150 if you use the 125 your gonna be blowin fuses
