Futsal Scholarships open-evening going to be held at Exeter England
The Futsal Scholarships open evening is going to be held at Exeter City's Community Trust, England. The ceremony will take place at the Grecian Centre here at St James Park on May 20, 2011.
The scholarships will be given to male Futsal players who are between the age of 11 and 12 years. The talented players are requested to visit the official website of the Exeter City's Community Trust. The scholarships are been given away with the partnership
deal among the Exeter City FC Community Trust, eight professional football clubs and the Football League Trust.
The scholarship will cater a course for the young Futsal players to get training from the elite coaches of Union of European Football Association (UEFA). The players will get a six hours of training each week. The course will be conducted under the supervision
of Jamie Vittles, the Community Trust Manager of the Exeter City Football Club (ECFC). He will be organising different fixture matches of Futsal of the selected players against the top eight professional Futsal clubs.
The players, who will complete the two year course, will gain a BTEC qualification degree from the pioneering virtual sixth form environment at The Grecian Centre, ECFC. Jamie Vittles said, "We are delighted to be involved with such a forward thinking project”.
The Futsal scholarship will give the young players an encouraging opportunity to develop their playing skills, tactical, social skills and physiological in a challenging sporting environment. The full time course will also provide the players to evaluate
their skills. Also it will give exposure to the players to compete with players from different community clubs.
Futsal is a new form of football also known as indoor football. It has gained popularity all around the world over a very short period of time. Such scholarship programs should be given away by the local football clubs so that the sport can develop from
the grass root level.
The core aim of the project is to prepare players for the FIFA official ranking Futsal tournaments and to create a whole new generation of Futsal players to compete on international level.
