Future Boy ideal candidate for thriving in Ted Hegarty Open Marathon Semi-Final
Future Boy will be the one to beat in Ted Hegarty Open Marathon Semi-Final at Harold’s Cross in Ireland on Friday, December 14, 2012. He is a very good performer and has been delivering some excellent results for his team in recent times.
Therefore, it will not be an easy task to come anywhere closer to him in the Grade OR competition. He has been winning races in this class with consistency and completed a hat-trick recently. His confidence level will be high at the moment and it will not be a clever idea to gamble against him.
The race will definitely test the fitness of all the greyhounds, as the overall distance to cover for them is 1010 yards. They will have to display a very good stamina in order to end up in a strong position. The triumphant hound will be given a cash prize of €75 in the end.
However, that will not matter much, as the runners will be looking to find a place in the final of the competition. All of them have been trained well to deliver a top quality result and they will look to entertain the spectators at Harold’s Cross.
The race is scheduled to kick off at 21:10 GMT and it will definitely attract a lot of fans from all over the neighbourhood.
Future Boy will enter the contest with a starting price of 4 to 5, which clearly shows that the bookmakers have got immense confidence in his abilities. He has been slotted in trap number five, but that will not be a concern for him today.
The overall distance to cover is a lengthy one and there will be plenty of time for him to attack his rivals, even if he fails to do so at the start.
The Griffin’s trained hound was given pretty decent odds in his most recent Grade OR competition and he did not disappoint his team back then. He had to cover 1010 yards back then and that did not seem to be a problem for him in the end.
Ninja Jamie’s son out of Expert Flash took the top spot comfortably in the race and will be looking to repeat such a show once again.
