Do you think if in like 5 years I might try MMA is BJj is krav maga a waist of time. I do BJJ all the time but Krav Maga just sounds to cool. It will teach kickboxing skill won't it. Especially if i make it a point to practice kick boxing. Also would Krav Maga skills transfer into say Muay thai

Side note. Anyone believe Krav maga dose not work

  1. BJJ+ Muay thai

grappling+locks for ground & knees/elbows punch/kicks for when you're not on the ground.

Its good if you're going into UFC/MMA fights.

  2. Just go to any mma camp and theyll tell you bjj and muay thai. If you have any wrestling background to go along with years of training both bjj and mt you could be awesome

  3. If you really want to fight MMA, you had better learn jujitsu.  See this site:  www.jujitsustudies.com for an example of that.  "All" MMA fighters learn jujitsu now.  It's absolutely necessary.  If you are serious about it, then you have to train and train hard.  They are the most conditioned people in the world.  In 5 years you could do it for sure, but you have to dedicate all of your days.

  4. i dont disagree with juijitsu being vital to a MMA career, but it has to be balanced out with some wrestling or judo once striking is involved.

for pure grappling JJ is the answer, but its a heck of a lot harder to work sweeps and armbars from the bottom when the guy on top can punch you.

judo or wrestling balance out the passive nature of JJ grappling with solid takedown and positional control which is vital once striking is allowed.

muy thai for standup of course, or maybe a really really good boxing gym if you have fast enough hands.
