Im 16 years old and a sophmore in highschool. Im goin to join the Marines. Ive done research and everything and I really want to do it. I come from a USMC family and theres no backing down.

But my question is. DO you think that I will see action. Its not a problem for me. I just want to know what your opinion is on where the world, and US military will be in 4 years to 8 years?

  1. why not join because you WANT to, not because you think your suppose to. Your parents aren't going to be around forever so do what YOU want to do and not what they think you should do. And don't ask about seeing action and go in saying you want to kill. I served in combat and those people who say stuff like that are always the first ones hiding behind something screaming like little b*****s and end up shooting themselves in the foot to go home.

  2. you will see plenty of action with the war going on especially if your infantry  i would choose the for years if the marines arent wat you realy want to do with your life

  3. If the U.S. is at war anywhere, yes you probably will.

  4. Yes, You will see action, that is why you go through US Marine Corps Boot Camp to prepare

for any action of any kind. It is too hard to predict what will happen in 4 to 8 years. Things happen fast, but You have to be highly prepared at all times. Congratulations on thinking about being a member of the USMC! Semper Fi.

  5. Depending on your MOS, in the next few years, your chances are good.
