Sorry guys but i cant see how DMG intention to change the face of AMA superbike racing for 2009 is going to be a bad thing....I see so many positives in what there trying to do.

I have to agree with the comments from Wiggysan. when you have both Ben Spies and Matt Mladin saying the whole approach is wrong. someone should listen. its easy saying these guys have had it their own way with better tyres and better bikes. but without the talent of the rider the bike or the tyres do not get developed. And to pull the 1000cc flagships of the top j*p machines out of the plan altogether is madness. I understand why the manufacturers want to pull out. they want to sell bikes first and foremost. The Moto GP shows what they can do to the extreme. the superbikes are there to show what Joe average can dream of (realistically) and take a bought bike from the shop and burn rubber at the track without touching it. DMG want first and foremost to make money for the sponsors. great if your a sponsorer. waste of time if your a bike fan. I want to see and here Bikes and bike talk. Not a word from our sponsors. there is still (Just) time for the DMG Machine to turn this around but they need to listen to whats being said by the people who run motorcycle racing (the Fans)

I wouldn't mind some things like spec tires. Tires are the biggest factor in racing, and that @sshole Jim Allen from Dunlop has been outed in the past for just giving certain guys the real fast tires. The Daytona superbike class of 600s being the premier class is retarded however.

With no factory bikes in the class, who will provide bikes to race on ????

if they make it like Nascar it will be boring and all about the merchandising , not  the racing.
