Future for man-kind?

Is there a future for man-kind, in the long-term? How long will the age of man-kind last? What will be the most likely downfall for us e.g (natural catastrophe/fossil fuels)

As I scan my personal perception of the future, I see no end game.

I see only adaptation and innovation which will usurp the warriors of extinction.

Of course, my perception is a bit cloudy today.  The smog is thicker than usual here in carbon land.

one possible scenario is that we'll survive hundreds of years and our advancement in science will allow

advanced cloning. spaceships. neuro-implants. cybernetic combat suits. artificial intelligence. planetary colonization. intergalactic warfare. meeting other intelligent alien lifeforms. virtual reality video games. extended life spans.

downfall : AI's will hack into our military defense satellite weapons systems that that will leave us virtually defenseless to a hostile alien race intent on the complete extermination of all humanoids.
