The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan youth player has been subject to constant speculation; with several interested clubs; however, an accord with Roma might turn into a reality.
Enrico Preziosi was highly critical of the AC Siena striker, after negotiations fell through between the player and AS Roma. The Genoa chief went on to state that if Destro failed to agree terms with the Stadio Olimpico outfit, then there would be no revision
of wages and he would be foregoing the millions promised by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
Preziosi’s anger was evident in his interview last Saturday, and he advised the player not to let greed come in the way of a great prospective deal. The apparent delay in contractual negotiations has come about by offers from Juventus, who are promising
higher wages for the Azzurrini striker.
The Robur have come out with their statement and commented that a deal between the two parties will be wrapped up sooner than later, with a move to AS Roma being the likely solution. However, Siena has also mentioned that Juventus are keen to pursue the
young star, and are actively pursuing his signature as well.
The Sporting Director of the Robur was talking to Sky Sport Italia team on Sunday and he remarked:
“Tomorrow will be the decisive day for Destro’s move to Roma. We are at the final details now and it’s very likely we will finalise the deal tomorrow.”
The difference between the salaries offered by the two clubs is reportedly around 300,000 Euros per annum; with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 having offered lower wages of around 1.4 million Euros. The Robur state that the Bianconeri are persistent in their hunt, despite their
accord with the capital outfit.
Destro is keen to land at either club, and the Siena sporting chief went on to comment:
“Destro is in any case enthusiastic about both destinations and has no problem with the wages. Mattia is mature and has been able to support the pressure that was created in recent weeks.”
Mattia Destro was included in the preliminary 32-man squad for the European Championship; however, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163 was preferred by Cesare Prandelli over the former Genoa man.
