I don´t think have smtg else behind the story. All the World Bank president are American, continuing a tradition that has held since the institution's creation after World War II.

45 years ago, Pres. Bush, Sr., was susposedly a founding member of the TRI LATERAL COMMISSION (T.L.C.), an organization dedicated to the creation of the ONE WORLD MONEY Bank, with the TLC in control of ALL of the worlds money !!!!! It has taken 45 years to get it this far, but it is advancing !! NOW, FOR THOSE DOUBTERS AMONG YOU,  LOOK INTO THE ARCHIVES OF THE LARGER NEWSPAPERS WHICH WERE AROUND IN THIOSE DAYS. Also, look up the CONGRESS ON FOREIGN RELATIONS !!! THE ONE WORLD POLITICAL SYSTEM / GOVERNMENT GROUP !!!!!

NOW, LOOK AT ALL -- ALL OF THE POLITICIANS !!!! ALL OF THEM !!!! Reminds me of the 2 lawyers, screaming, fussing, accusing, wrangling, pointing fingers, snearing, and threating each other !!!! BAD- BAD- BAD sceen between them !!!!! After the trial, they meet each other at their country club and laugh, and have a great old time, talking about the "FIGHT" put on, for their clients !!!! The World Bank taking care of "OUR BEST INTERESTS"  is as honest as the 2 lawyers !!!!

ya the world bank is "the bank of the world" in name only. like the federal bank( or whatever it is called now) is actually a privately owned company.

I found it a d**k move that the US president could appoint the head of the "world bank"

should be a swiss company if you ask me.

It's a quid pro quo. After WWII the US and Europe set up the World Bank and the IMF. The US appoints the head of the World Bank and Europe appoints the head of the IMF. There's nothing more to it than that. Oh yes, the US provides the majority of funding for the Bank.
