I'm going to take my language arts-reading test, and I don't think I have an issue with learning; I have an issue with speed. If there wasn't a time limit with reading I'd be very confident in passing it but the time limit is what puts pressure on me. I'm taking my test July, 25th, on Friday, and I'm disturbed about my speed. I think I have the option to pospone the test until August ,7th or should I just go got it, What should I do?

  1. Just go do it.  All waiting will do is psyche you out even more.

  2. It sounds like you would just keep being stressed about it if you prolonged the wait, so I say just bite the bullet and take it now.

  3. You have nothing to be nervous about.  I took the G.E.D. tests, and you are allotted ample amounts of time for each test.

Just take the basic steps the night before the big test -- plenty of sleep, relax, eat a healthy and light breakfast, ect., and you shouldn't have a problem.

    Best of Luck!

  4. Usually these test are given with very few other people and the atmosphere is pretty comfortable. As far as time, they give plenty of time to finish. I say just do it, you might be surprised how non stressed you'll be. I know, i took the test. Good Luck!

  5. You're not likely to increase your speed significantly enough over that period of time.  Save yourself the additional stress and take it now, do your best, and then relax.
