Hey could anyone please

highlight the particular psychological attributes of the olympian gods? Please do as many as you can :D

If you could add some myths along with the gods that would be really nice (myths that are relevant to the pychological attribuate that they represent)

Thanks ^-^

  1. i don't like it when people yell at me :/

  2. Each Olympian God represented real feelings that people had. They gave creedence to human actions and emotions. They also gave reason for them to explain things within nature that they otherwise could not comprehend. If something bad or good happened they could attribute that to a god or goddess being angry or happy. The Greeks also did not believe that their gods were perfect. They were immortal, but they had a lot of human passions, which people could relate to.

There were 12 "supreme gods" who were said to live atop Mount Olympus (Olympian Gods). They were known as the Supreme 12.

    Aphrodite: Love

    Dionysus: God of wine

Athens: Goddess of wisdom and war

Apollo: God of prophesy, music, and healing

    Artemis: Goddess of Hunt

Hera: Goddess of Marriage (wife of Zeus)

Poseidon: God of the Sea (very important to the Greeks)

Hestia: Goddess of Hearth and Home

    Ares: God of war

    Demeter: Goddess of agriculture

Hermes: Messenger of the gods and guide of dead souls

    Zeus: Kind of the gods

There were many OTHER GODS besides the Olympians.

    Hades: God of the Dead

Hephaestus: God of fire and craft

    Pan: God of the woods
