GAAP requirement by stock exchanges?

Does anyone know if NYSE follow US GAAP or international GAAP? What about the Tokyo Stcok Exchange?

  1. The stock exchange doesn't care.  Any publicly traded company, listed on the exchange or not,  in the US must file statements as required by the SEC which follows recommendations of the FASB.

    What do you mean "international GAAP"?  No country is going to let somebody else decide what it's securities regulations should be.
