GARDEN BUG???????????

Ok so my mom found this bug on her coleous (if thats how you spell it) and it's wings look like leaves. She was wondering what its called and if its good or bad for the plant.

  1. It's Coleus.

    If it's a tiny bug it's a species of Leafhopper

    If it's a bug big it's a Katydid or Snow Cricket or Praying Mantis.

    If it's wings are transparent and it's looking dragonfly it's a green lacewing.

  2. Photos? Color and size of bug? Inside or out? You might be surprised how many insects are actually beneficial. Don't sproay unless you have a positive ID and then don't spray unless it's so bad that the health of the plant is in danger. The good guy bugs will usually keep the bad ones at bay and if you spray, you kill both and the cycle just starts over again.
