Everyone is saying that gas is too expensive to take me to school or even to visit me !!!

I've missed almost EVERY day of school because no one says they can afford even a tank of gas to drive there.

my education and social life are suffering terribly because of the gas crisis, I don't know what's going on anymore, either they're lying because they don't like me or were all not going to ever be able to drive anywhere again because things are getting worse and worse, whats going to happen to our economy and whats going to happen to our lives because of expensive gas prices , what do you expect to happen? worst case scenario and when?

  1. Well im fourteen and all my friends call me a hippie... so ya.

I ride the bus to school.  I actually hope the world runs out of gas so we can get a cleaner healthier atmosphere it will decrease the number of little children with the asthma.  i think in the next ten years rural areas will turn to horses possibly carriages. while urban areas will use alternative fuel resources such as small electric vehicles. but all of this can be avoided by ending all the c**p in the middle east. i can go on with this for quite a long time theres plenty of worst case scenarios but i dont like to think of that. and it will only make you and me worry. anything is possible whether it helps or hurts the economy and poeple. but i expect that scientists will work forever with the renewable resources trying to process a system where they can be used as fuel. as for the when part to everything i have no idea. or it may never end. the united states is going into a depression caused by inflation and the worlds top rich people who control the gas.

  2. i am not so much worried about the price of gas as, if there is a will to get there, there is a way.

What i am worried about is the price of diesle skyrocketing and inflating food prices, and being unable to afford home heating oil to keep my family relatively warm during the long winter months.

  3. You worry too much. Live life and don't think about the worst case scenario.

Public transportation is what is going to happen.

People live all over the world without cars.

Buy a bicycle or walk places.

  4. Now you know gas prices are going to be a problem, I suggest changing your life around to insulate yourself from high gas prices.

There are cities where even the rich people don't bother owning a car -- they get around on the transit, cabs, or rent a ZipCar for a few hours.  It's a lot cheaper too!

  5. take the bus!

I never had a car until I graduated from college.

Gas prices will be $10 in a year or so.
