go team gb. i think the lottery funding is paying off lol joke credit to all the athleted that have worked so hard, i wish i could do that for the country but im not as good as them, an 2012 athletes on here wasting their training time?

Ah I see the Aussies are adopting America's new system for deciding the standings and the number of Golds is no longer the deciding factor just the number of times you miss out on Gold and finish 2nd or 3rd. Unfortunately my Aussie friends Team GB sit in a very comfortable 3rd and with more Golds from the velodrome and the waves likely plus the possibility of a couple in Track & Field we may well drop from 3rd but look set to beat the Aussies for the first time in ages!

I know its great about team GB being third isnt it and also if america did not have michael phelps who won 8 medals in swimming we would be joint on medals with USA.

Yes your Cycling team has been awesome and your swimmers are hitting the finals in nearly every race and your rowers are also going great.

It gives a false impression because the UK totally dominated the events in the velodrome. Something like 8 or 9 gold medals will come from track cycling which tends to mask the fact that we are very weak in other sports such as men's swimming where I don't think we've won even one medal.

Well done. Did you know our (Australia) Sport's Minister had a bet with yours. The loser has to wear a guernsey from the other country for a while I think.

By the way, according to the American's version of the table you are fifth and we are third. Which table should we use for the bet?

its excellent for now, but its not going to stay that way. we dominated in one event, but i dont think that many more will be won now, so our standing willl inevitably change

i think we have done fantastic this year considerin we r a very small country compared 2 china and USA and other countries. i am very proud 2 b british and good luck 2 them all
