Do they matter when your going to uni.

Say if you had 4 A-levels at Grade A*, and your GCSE's were like B's, C's, D's and so on? :/

I was just wondering, as I think my careers teacher told me that they don't really matter;

  1. No, they don't matter.

    BUT, and I mean, B.U.T, your A Levels DO matter. Trust me. If you want the best degree, the best uni and consequently the best job, you must get AAAAat A Level. The vast majority of uni's in the country don't look at your GCSE's, but really concentrate on your A Levels.

    (P.S, Oxford and Cambridge are two exceptions who look for all A's at both GCSE and A Level)

  2. Well no if you have 4 A-levels grade A* then well done!

    CCSEs wouldn't really matter, B's + C's are fine anway.

    with 4 A* theres no need to worry about the GCSE's.
