Okay, so I need to do an Art Unit, and I need some ideas. I want to steer away from Pop Art and Photography though, because at my school it's really overused. Also, nothing to do with Anime, or Japan. Can anybody help me?

  1. Look at some real artists like Giorgio Morandi, Alberto Giacometti, Paul Cezanne, William Scott, Philip Guston. If you can come even a little bit close to emulating these artists you will be doing fine.

  2. What do you like drawing?

    Do that.

I chose Portraits. I have an A* now.

  3. A good way to find a topic for your art coursework is to look at an artist that you like and then do something in their style.

e.g. I did a unit of work on paul kidby, he is the illustrator for the terry pratchett books, and he often takes traditional drawings and tampers with them.

  4. At my school the teachers set the topics we did:

    Recycling

    African Art

    Conflict

For each topic we did a sketchbook and a final piece
