  1. ^ i agree- past papers is the best thing you could look at. Also, you could take a look at the mark schemes from previous years and identify where you might need to work harder. That's what i did- i looked at the marks from my MOCK papers, and identified my mistakes using the mark scheme, so come tuesday, i know where to be careful.

  2. I don't want to sound old fashioned (i'm 20 and get my walkin stick soon, lol).

But, the best way to revise is revise for the higest exam. For example, revise for the Top Class GCSE papers. That way, you will get a rough idea of what your paper may ask you, you will certainly learn things that your paper will ask you (even though you may not have been tought it) and you will learn things tought to you in Yrs 7 - 11.

Another tip is, add colour to your exam papers (the exam board don't like students knowing this), but if you add pencil crayon colours to your work, you will recieve extra marks.

I hope these help you and break a leg in your exam.

  3. Hi, I am sitting the WJEC exam on Tuesday too, I'm in the exact same position as you; don't have a clue what to do. But my teacher gave me some really good advice; for paper 1 in B1 (descriptive writing) you could describe some characters, not many, and use them in different scenarios. I did that this morning and it is really helping me at the moment. Make sure you know how to adapt the characters in different situations etc, and also try to describe the scene then focus on the characters or what they are doing, another useful tip is mention a character and when ending your short descriptive writing, link it back to one of the characters mentioned. For B2 you might want to make a story up and learn it, again adapting the story to different titles in the exam. Also for part A is reading, so might want to read through some old papers and annotate them, then spend 12 mins on each section A and try to get as many different points as you can. If you want some past papers or any other advice email me on nikhil_212@hotmail.com, or add me on msn. Hope this helps, and sorry for the layout of this answer, just a bit confusing. GOOD LUCK!
