I got a D in maths GCSE and i am wanting to go to university next year. I have already got English qualifiaction and contacted the Uni who have advised me that i need to obtain the Maths too. I am doing a "move on numeracy" course in a few weeks and wondered if this is the equvilant to GCSE or not, and if not, what is?

Thanks x

  1. GCSEs? You usually need A-Levels to get into unis.

  2. I don't think so though you can check for definite at Ofqual or QCA. Normally, either a BTEC or a GCSE in the core subjects are required (A-C).. what about retakes? You were only a grade off and now you know what kind of thing to expect...
