  1. they change year by year, but you can normally have a estimate...if we knew which subject/s :)

  2. I just finished my GCSEs

Foundation paper (lower tier) - Grades C -G/U

    Higher Tier - Grades A* - D/U

percentages vary from exam to exam and also depend on how hard the exam is

    an approximation would be:

    90% + = A*

    80% = A

    70% = B

    60% = C

    50% = D

    40% = E

    30% = F (Fail)

    20% = G

    10% - =U

Dont take this for definate - the Maths Higher GCSE exams used to be really hard and the grade boundary to get a B was only 17% or something like that!

for lower tiers i dont know becuase i didnt do any but id imagine it would be something like 70% for a C or something like that

  3. It depends what the actual paper is on, each paper has their own grade boundaries. These change slightly each year depending on what the paper what like and how the candidates did on it. If you want to know the grade boundaries for the AQA Examination Board, then go on http://www.aqa.org.uk/over/stat_pdf/AQA-... then on the options on the left hand side go on the 'Raw Marks' and find which paper it is you want to know the boundaries for.
