I had to pick three subjects to do a GCSE for, i had the choice to do a two year course at a hairdressing and i did that as well as art and business studies.

I got told my results today and i did fine but it didn't say anything on my results about what i got for college. I know i got a credit/merit on my hairdressing but i don't know what a credit/merit is in GSCE grades.

I really need to know as i have another interview to attend with a college on tuesday if only my school would have explained.

If it helps i got a credit/merit on a level 2 diploma in womans hairdressing thats what my exam paper says.. it just doesnt say anything about how many GCSE's i get from it (was told 4 but not sure) or what GCSE grade it means. Im from UK i dont know if exam grades are different anywhere else. Thank you sooo much!

  4. Hi,

I've got the same problem in deciding.  It's not at all easy is it?  I'm looking at some free college videos at the moment which not only show lots of details of each college but also talk to the students there to find out the real lowdown on what's good and what's bad about that college. They've certainly helped me to get a lot closer to making my decision.

If you're interested, you can see the videos at http://www.free-college-videos.com

    Good luck!
