Right, when applying for a College or Sixth Form some of you may be aware of the "Points score" system. I was just wondering for a double GCSE do you add the points twice for that subject? thanks.

  1. A science double award gets you two gcse's. Therefore, you get the two levels (I got AA, which is 120 points) and double the points per gcse. However, points systems are usually used by Universities not Colleges. They often ask for 3 C's or above as entry. Hope that helps!

No I'm English. I sat my Gcse's 4 years ago, at Thomas Adams, Wem. My Gcse's were worth 65 pts for an A*, 60 for an A, 55 for a B and 50 for a C. I didn't get anything less than a C so I couldn't tell you what the others are worth.

  2. I think ur double award does count as two becuase its DOUBLE then again I think it depends on the college/ 6th form but id imagine it would becuase its double a gcse. You will find out thurs :)
