Just wanna see what the rest of you think.... because I'm dreading it!!!

My results are so unpredictable.

  1. am rli scared i dont have a clue what am going to get could be really bad or it could be quite good guess i should of revised more!

  2. Well in my first year of GCSEs I was pretty confident that in the subjects that matter to me, I would get A or better. However my second year was bad. I missed ALOT of days off school and my maths teacher wasn't the best so the higher tier questions where giving me trouble.

I hope ive done enough work before my exams to do good in them, though I'm still very nervous about the results. The good thing for me is the course I want to do in University (Astrophysics) is not the most popular choice so i only need A levels to get in (unlike others which sometimes have to look back to gcse results for a final decision due to overbooking).

I reckon I may be overly worried about the results but some of my exams didn't go to well (english and english Lit, ICT and french are going to be the worst) though those arnt important to me so I'm not worried about those.

    Good Luck  to everyone else!

  3. They're not unpredictable now, are they?

You do get predicted grades, as well as having done your mocks. It's safe to assume if your predicted grades were okay and you did alright in your mocks, you're not going to do much worse in the real things even if it's a disaster.

  4. In 1969 for english I got a G in the morning exam, London Board and in the evening of the same day B for AEB board.  Now when I wanted to go to College to teach [I was already qualified in law and accountancy] I was told to do Main English at Avery Hill and extra English if I went to Southlands.  i have never understood this.

I did pass my 11+ but failed to go to a grammar school as they were all filled up.  Was chucked by Bromley Kent to a secondary school and left with nothing.

What does this teach you...that at the time of the exam you knew so much knowledge.  Whether you know it now or more or less is any-ones guess.

remember you are on a ladder, a careers ladder no more no less.

Do your best ot always go upwards and never come down a snake.

best wishes to all of you.

    G

  5. I'm worried but my coursework was good so if my exams are bad I should still do ok. I think I failed history but don't really care for it.

    Gd luck everyone

  6. so nervous don't think ill be getting much sleep on wednesday night my results are really unpredictable also good luck xx

  7. Confident, although i barely try at all ata school i get straight b;s with a couple of A's , and i only need to qualify to get into my sixth form since gcse's don't really matter that much in later life imo.
