But most schools only take A* to a C as a pass

  4. GCSEs are the exams that we have here in the uk when we finish secondary school.......basically, the exams that we take in our final year of school when we are 16 (thats the age that we LEGALLY have to attend school until)....... So to people that want to carry on in further education I suppose they are important......But dont ask me what it stands for though!!!

  5. Its in the UK.

Mostly 16 year olds..get their results today.

  6. GCSE stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education. GCSE's are the exams that 15/16 year olds take at the end of their final year of high school.

SO, as I'm 15 and in my final year of high school, I took my GCSE exams in ALL of the subjects I was studying, in May/June, and got my results back today.

The highest grade you can get is A* and it goes down like this:

    A* (highest)

    A

    B

    C

    D

    E

    F

    G (lowest)

    U (unclassified)

I did pretty well, I got an A in eight of my subjects, two B grades and two C grades.

Hope this was clear and it helped!
