Question:

GCSE wrong centre number?

Im doing Gcse DIDA and i think i entered the wrong centre number.

we're suppose to include

candidate name:

candidate number:

centre number:

school name:

I got everything else right except the centre number so im worried if it will be marked or not

Can they figure it out from the school name and candidate name?

Any help appreciated.

  1. I think it will be ok. I entered the wrong candidate number for one of my exams and I still got my mark. Also it will probably be sent in the same batch as the other papers and if it has the correct school name then I'm sure there won't be a problem. Hope this helps.


  2. It will be fine. They type the centre number into a database, where it looks up the name of the school. If the name of the school is the same as what is written on the paper, all is well. However, if the name of the school on the screen is different, they will type in the name of the school.

  3. That's weird - the school should clearly tell you the centre number.

    I don't think it will matter in the long run - all the exams are sent off together, and so they'll probably get marked together and the examiner will know.  Plus you have put down the school name and your candidate name/ number.

    Maybe if you contact the exam board and explain your situation they'll be able to help as well?
