  1. It's a pass but not one acceptable for employers. But a D in Science doesn't really matter unless he wants to be a doctor (or work in another science based profession) or a primary school teacher.

And it doesn't really matter as he got a B and 7 Cs which is more than enough to get into college for his A-Levels and he can retake the science later on.

  2. I'm not too sure if scotlands gradeing is the same as england but up here a D is a fail (means u got 40-50%) but when applying for uni, a D gives you some ucas points so it does count towards something

  3. Fail at Higher level, A pass at Intermediate, not sure if it possible to get a D at Foundation.

  4. Any grade above a U is a pass, yes.

But when it comes to college etc, they tend to take into account only grades A*-C

  5. i think its a pass, but if u go to sixthfrom they wont accept it. and it probably doesn't look good on your cv. i wouldn't worry about, most employers look at HOW MANY GCSE's you have rather then your grades

  6. The ONLY grade that is fail is U.

  7. pass

  8. for 6th form at my school you need to get at least 5 C's to get in..im not sure if it's the same everywhere though

  9. its a pass, but to get into college its C's and above that matter

  10. its a pass but if its a fail for employers

  11. It's as much to do with it's usefulness as whether it's a pass or fail. No employer or college takes much account of anything below 'C'.

Many universities require 'B' as a minimum in some subjects.

  12. A C grade(or above) is required for most good non university graduate jobs so 7 x C is good!

Unless it's in things like Klingon that is!LOL
