GE Cordless phone..... Please Help?

I have a GE Cordless phone, I have the base and the 2nd phone headset. It was working fine, then all of a sudden, it stops working. At 1st I thought it was the power cord, so I went and bought a new one, and yet that didn't make any difference, its still not working, Can a phone go from working just fine, to stop working all together?? Please help

Yes they can, but it usually means something happened to it...like:  it got dropped or took a power hit, etc.

If you plug a different phone into the jack and it works, you prob need a new phone.  Try a Panasonic cordless, they cost a couple bucks more, but last a long time and are very reliable.
