  1. Enjoy interference-free calling with the new 6.0 technology phone, as well as an integrated answering machine. New digital wireless technology featuring call waiting, caller ID, handset speakerphone, and much more. You get a phone, plus an additional handset for ultimate convenience.

Highest level 6.0 interference-free phone, plus handset

New digital wireless technology featuring call waiting, caller ID, handset speakerphone

    Built-in answering machine

Also features 3-way call conferencing and intercom

Customize melody and VIP ring tones

DECT or Digitally Enhanced Cordless Technology, features a dedicated bandwidth that eliminates interference from electronics found in or around the home

The result is a crystal clear, interference-free communication

Expandable up to 4 phones using only 1 phone jack

    Encrypted Security

  2. You probably will notice NO difference with the DECT phone. (A lot of hype.!!) The DECT phones operate at the same power, around 1900 Mhz. I have not experienced any great advantage to a DECT phone yet, and I have tried a few against others.!! I also get no interference with 2.4 or 5.8 Ghz. using wiFi, microwaves, etc.

  3. It's not that its stronger, the DECT is suppose to adjust so that the phone is not sharing the exact same frequency with any other local device. The TV still send off "radiation" that will interfere with other devices around them.

  4. remember, a bigger Mhz is not neccesarly  better.....we think here in the US that everything begger (in numbers) is better!

wellm not so with MHz....accturally the 2.4MHz has a further range then a 5.8 MHz...!

but secutity is teh best with DECT.6.0 with buildin firewall/router...!

900Mhz is the worst!!!  everyone should get rid of these phones!!

DECT is digital enhanced cordless telecommunications

FHSS is frequency hopping spread spectrum.

    DECT phones are 1.9Ghz phones

FHSS is a type of encryption, and channel changing function/feature available in diffrent frequency range phones...

FHSS has replaced DSS (digital spread spectrum) as the latest security feature for cordless phones...

WiFi operates within the 2.4Ghz range, so a 2.4Ghz phone is a poor choice, but if this is the type of phone that you currently have, you may eliminate or reduce the chances of interfearance by changing the channel on the ROUTER, as the phone changes channels on its own, and there is no manual setting to change the phones channel...

a 5.8 Ghz phone will provide you better chances at eliminating the interfearance... however at the possible cost of range, as the lower the frequency the further the range...

The BEST choice for cordless phone for range, and lack of interfearance is a DECT phone.. the 1.9Ghz range is a licenced radio frequency for the exclusive use of cordless phones, unlike any other cordless phone frequency (900Mhz, 2.4Ghz, 5.8Ghz.) and as it is lower in frequency (aside from 900 Mhz) it operates with the furthest distance then any cordless phone. (all cordless phones operate at further ranges then 900 Mhz phones, because they have a higher transmitting power, and also 900Mhz is a very active radio frequency..)
