Three times now, I have had shirts (my husband's) rip to pieces in the washer - always made of light weight cool max type of fabric. Why would this happen? Repairman came once and said all looked fine. They are coming again next week after the third shirt was ruined. Thank goodness for the extended warranty, though I don't expect a solution. The store I bought it at indicated if I get no help from GE this time to contact them. I also have the problem where it won't finish a cycle - clearing out the hose at the bottom of the washer fixes this issue, but what a huge hassle. My opinion is there is a very big design flaw with this washer.
