GE S-Series Side-by-side refrigerator

My GE side-by-side is in trouble. The freezer is not working, while the 'frig side works Ok so far as I can see.

The foil tag reads : Model ZISW42DSC, Serial No. ML037182, "Listed 72RO". It is a side-by-side in stainless steel with the compressor on top that is commonly mistaken for a sub-zero.

I let the heat exchanger clog with dust, so the whole t hing stopped working. I vacuumed that out and right away it got back on track, dropping both refrigerator and freezer back into proper temperature. However within a day or two the freezer thawed itself back out.

Any ideas?
