GE Spectra XL44 Oven Overheating

Question

Our oven "overheats" for lack of a better term. There is an excessive amount of heat coming out of the stove-top vent (near back L burner) that it sets off the fire alarm in the nearby hallway. We have tried cleaning with self-clean but it also overheats during that operation. We have cleaned with standard oven cleaner and no change.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
