GE model 25922 cordless phone

Question

GE model 25922 cordless phone (2 unit set)"new Voice Mail" reads out on phone, base unit charger continues to blink as a result. No way to clear it. Model does not have voice mail capability...so what is it, and how do I clear it? Thank you.
