GE side by side fridge

Hi guys,
Got a question for ya. My wife decided to buy a new fridge the other day, its a GE side by side model GSR23UGTWW. I've since been reading lots of horror stories online about GE fridges, how do you guys feel about this particular model, and should GE be avoided in general?
It hasn't been delivered yet, so wondering if i should just try to exchange it for another model, or at least get the extended warranty on it.
