I have the GEM GL 1821A monitor. After a while, the monitor goes blank and does not respond when I shake the mouse. Initially I unplugged the monitor and plugged it back in and was able to get a response using this process for a while. Now I can not make it come back up no matter what I do. Do you have an idea what the problem is and how I can fix it. By the way, the monitor has a fixed cable to plug into the computer and also a fixed power cord to the transformer box. One more tidbit, the monitor acts similarly on various computers.
