GERD aka Acid Refluex?

Question

Okay I take ranitidine and forgot to take it this morning and took two during dinner... Look at this.

Missed dose:

Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never take 2 doses at the same time.

Im I gunna be at risk... maybe? I ont think so but just to be sure.

Why is this under 'Respiratory Diseases'?

Anyway, what does the packaging say to do if you accidentally take too many? I think it's a gentle enough drug that you'll be fine, but if you feel worse, get to a doctor asap!

According to package insert for Ranitidine:

"There has been virtually no experience with overdosage with ranitidine injection and limited experience with oral doses of ranitidine.  Reported  acute ingestions of up to 18 g orally have been associated with transient adverse effects similar to those encountered in normal clinical experience.  In addition, abnormalities of gait and hypotension have been reported.  When overdosage occurs, clinical monitoring and supportive therapy should be employed.  Studies in dogs receiving dosages of ranitidine in excess of 225 mg/kg per day have shown  muscular tremors, vomitting, and rapid respiration.  Single oral  dosages of 1,000 mg/kg in mice and rats were not lethal..."

I think you'll be fine, but if you feel strange or ill, call you doctor.

nah maybe a stomach ache next time read lables tho. gerd sucks eh? i got chronic gastritis of the stomach i HATE it.
