Question:

GI Joe cartoon to condition children?

Did anyone else notice that GI Joe, "the real American hero" is a guy who fights and shoots at people. Fighting a war in another place.

Why isn't the real American hero the guy who fought for our rights, who stood up to the government and got blacks to "start to become equal" or the men and women who fought for women's rights to vote. How are these people not the real American heros? Anyone else think this is some kind of conditioning? I wonder if somehow you can link that cartoon to government funding.

  1. GI Joe has been around a lot longer than the GWOT has been going on.  That sounds as feasible as the theory that Call of Duty is conditioning teens to join the military when they are old enough.  It's just political bull that is thrown out by anti-war organizations who want to discredit the military and the government.

  2. Then how do you explain liberal men--did they get some artsy, metro-sexual, interior decorator doll when they were young?

  3. Nope. The only purpose of that or any other cartoon is to keep the little mush-minds occupied until the next commercial.

  4. You sound like a pinko COBRA terrist to me, boy.

  5. Gunplumb almost got it right.  It's to make them want to buy the toys they see in the next commercial!

  6. There is no conditioning going on at all. Exact same reason why Barbie is the model toy for little girls.  Why is that?  Very few of them will ever achieve that physique.  They are JUST TOYS.
